More than 550 entries this year – a record – and a big thank you to everyone who sent in. It’s so encouraging to know how many of us over 60s are writing poetry and reaching such a high standard. An antidote to the awfulness of what is happening in the world. The judges had a hard job deciding on a shortlist and selecting their top three – all great poems and I hope you will enjoy reading them.
As always, proceeds from the competition go towards funding the next anthology, and have a big part to play in keeping Grey Hen going. Thank you!
